Combitherm owner celebrates milestone birthday

Henrik Christoffersen, Owner of Combitherm A/S, bought into the company in 1991, and became sole owner in 2010.

The owner of Combitherm A/S in Them, Henrik Christoffersen, turns 70 years old.

Henrik Christoffersen, who resides with his family in Vejle, is celebrating his 70th birthday. He owns the company Combitherm A/S in Them, which manufactures insulating mats and covers for a variety of different industries: He also owns Combi-Therm Consumer A/S in Randers, producing thermal bags.

Henrik Christoffersen joined the company in 1991 as chief financial officer. He acquired half of the business in 1995 and bought out the partner company Jørck & Larsen A/S in 2010.

In 2018, Combitherm was split into two independent companies, each focusing and growing within their respective product areas. Combi-Therm Consumer A/S continues to produce thermal bags, while the range of thermal solutions has significantly evolved at Combitherm A/S.

Henrik Christoffersen has a cand. oecon. degree and has a background at Bang & Olufsen, later moving onto a bus factory in Herning, then to the modular home company, JMH Huse A/S – at all these companies he was in financial roles. For a time he worked in sales at IBM before joining Jørck & Larsen, which owned Combitherm.

Henrik Christoffersen has always been meticulous, with his hands deep in the machinery of the business. However, the desire for more free time and time with his family led him to appoint his deputy director Torben Hallstrup as the CEO of Combitherm A/S in Them about a year ago.

Privately, Henrik Christoffersen is a family man who enjoys traveling and languages, and he also has an interest in automobile history.

Together with skilled employees and a professional board, Henrik Christoffersen has managed to capitalise and expand on the opportunities that have appeared for Combitherm. This has led to ongoing development and growth - a growth strategy that is formalised today and embedded in the company's DNA.

Combitherm A/ is amongst the leading European manufacturers of flexible, tailor-made, and energy-saving thermal solutions for a wide range of industries working with temperature-sensitive products and processes and where temperature fluctuations must be kept to a minimum. The company in Them employs about 30 people.

The birthday was celebrated with the employees at Combitherm on Friday.
