Repair, maintenance & disposal

The thermal solutions from Combitherm can be folded or rolled for storage.

During storage and transport the thermal solutions from Combitherm can be folded or rolled up to take up as little space as possible. We do not recommed to vacuum pack our thermal solutions as the insulation may be weakened and lose some of its insulating effect.

Maintenance of the thermal solutions is wholly the responsibility of the owner of the product.
We recommend that the products are inspected visually before use, to ensure that they are undamaged. If the foil is torn, it can be remedied with a special tape in the same material as the foil or duct tape. The latter except on TEX-PUR foil.
Wipe off any residue and dirt from the product, using a cloth with warm water and a mild detergent/soap without chlorine and let it dry before use.

An uncompromising choice of materials and a proven design mean that Combitherm thermal winter mats have a long lifespan and can be reused time and time again.

If the foil of the winter mat has been damaged it is possible to repair it:

1.  First, hang up the mat to let any water run out. This ensures that the mat is dry before you start the repair. The insulation is neither damaged nor deteriorated by having been wet, but the insulating ability is highest in a dry condition.
2.  You can then repair the mat using duct tape. Apply duct tape generously over the area of the tear to seal it up effectively.

This method is easy and allows you to quickly fix the mat on-site, reducing downtime and ensuring continued protection against weather conditions. Find more information about winter mats.

Outworn thermal covers, concrete duvets, winter mats and other thermal solutions can be disposed as plastic. They can be separated by material type for recycling or disposed of according to local and national disposal regulations.
